Summary


Day one: Wednesday, September 13. After a delayed trip from Newcastle I'm finally in London. I drop my stuff off in the hotel and get down to the MAC head office to receive my call sheets. These tell us which fittings, shows, artists and locations we will be dealing with.

I always get really excited at the anticipation of what role I will be playing during Fashion Week. It's hard work, it hurts your back, your kit weighs a ton and there's not always lifts, the models will be late, you hardly sleep, you don't eat properly, the designers can be stressed, your brushes and products can go missing ( but it's worth it.

Thursday and Friday, September 14 to 15

The other senior artists and I are at breakfast and afternoon meetings with our manager to discuss what we have lined up.

We get drafts of our fashion week schedule. What we're really excited about is which shows we'll be working backstage and which makeup artists we'll be working with....
