Summary
Uefa have promised to "seriously consider" Wembley as the venue for the 2010 Champions League final, after the stadium was passed over for the 2008 and 2009 finals. Wembley chiefs had bid for either final ( but it is understood Uefa want the stadium to be operational before they will consider it. Uefa did confirm the City of Manchester Stadium will host the 2008 Uefa Cup final. The venues for the finals for the next two seasons were announced at Uefa's executive committee meeting in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The 2008 Champions League final will be in the Luzhniki stadium in Moscow, and a year later in Rome's Olimpico stadium. The 2009 Uefa Cup final will be held in Fenerbahe's Sukru Saracoglu stadium in Istanbul.
