IT WAS Sunderland's turn yesterday to impress FA bosses, as they gave the city's bid to host World Cup matches the once over. The Sunderland team, including the city council, Sunderland Football Club and bid champion Steve Cram, hosted the delegation on a day- long visit.
A number of sites were inspected, as the FA team continues the process of assessing the city and the region's capabilities to host World Cup football, after it visited Newcastle and Gateshead yesterday.
