Plans for an pounds 11m waste handling complex in Northumberland were finally given the green light yesterday ( despite continuing claims that the flagship project is being done 'on the cheap'.
The 80-job facility will be built on the West Sleekburn industrial estate near Bedlington and will handle 120,000 tonnes a year as part of a pounds 40m, PFI-funded project aimed at recycling almost half of the county's waste.See the full content of this document
