TODAY we are launching our annual search to find the region's pupils and teachers who are top of the class. The Journal is once again working in partnership with our sister paper, the Evening Gazette, and our main sponsors, Northumbrian Water, to bring you the North East Schools Awards.

Now in its fourth year, the campaign is one of the highlights of the academic calendar and we hope the 2010 awards will be our biggest and best yet.
