Did you know that a balanced diet of ginger and garlic can regulate body temperature? Or that sour-tasting foods such as fenugreek and bitter gourd eliminate bacterial elements and purify the blood? And pungent foods such as onions and black pepper improve metabolism?

No? Well, The Journal Culture Club and The Spice Cube in The Gate have come together to give members an insight into the health benefits of particular Indian herbs and spices. The Spice Cube's head chef Dinesh Rawat will host a short presentation for up to 30 Culture Club members, as well as preparing a mouth-wateringly delicious two-course gourmet meal for them to enjoy. During the 45- minute insight, Dinesh will guide members through the exotic world of Indian cuisine, challenging their perceptions of what Indian cooking is all about.
