When police then raided his respectable North family home they discovered a cache of illegal arms and computer material on terror and bomb-making ( to the horror of Barnsley's unsuspecting parents who knew nothing of his activities.

Barnsley ( jailed for five years yesterday ( built up a lethal hoard which included a stun gun, imitation Kalashnikov rifle, tear gas pellets and three air pistols ( one of

which had been adapted to fire live rounds. There were also hundreds of rounds of prohibited ammunition.
