Bedlington Terriers sent out a desperate plea for volunteers on Friday to help with emergency repairs to the pitch for their FA Vase game. But, having worked around the clock to beat the freezing conditions, they probably spent the first hour of this game wishing they had not bothered.

Having fallen behind after eight minutes when Lee Chudy slipped free to latch on to a long ball forward and fire a low shot past Bedlington keeper Gareth Powell, the Terriers were utterly dominant, but could not find a way to get themselves back into the game.
