AN elderly man was swept to his death over High Force waterfall yesterday. The victim, whose name has not yet been released, was walking with his wife when he fell into the River Tees, above the popular tourist attraction, in Teesdale, County Durham.
It is thought desperate attempts were made to reach the man, but the force of the current pulled him over the 70ft falls before he could be helped.See the full content of this document
