FIVE breast cancer survivors - representing the number of women diagnosed each day with the disease in the North-East - led the way at a charity walk yesterday.

The women started Cancer Research UK's Stride for Life at Newcastle's Exhibition Park, setting more than 200 walkers on their way on 5km and 10km sponsored strolls.
