SOL2o, one of the North East's leading renewable energy companies, has reported a huge surge in interest from businesses across the region in new and renewable energy technologies, as they recognise the value of those technologies to their businesses and to the wider community.

The recently announced feed-in tariff introduced by the Government has also increased interest in renewable energy as the utility companies will now pay businesses and individuals to generate their own electricity and for any excess electricity they produce which is fed back into the National Grid Steve Wigham, head of operations at Sol2o, said: "The guarantee of getting an income on top of saving on energy bills will be an incentive to businesses, householders, landowners and communities wanting to make the move to low-carbon living.
