IN a statement last night the original trustees of the Hugh Mackay Retirement Benefits Scheme said they "refute in the strongest possible terms any allegation of fraud or other criminal activity associated with the management of the scheme".
The statement added: "None of the original trustees have been arrested, interviewed or charged with any criminal offence in relation to these matters and are unaware of any police or criminal investigation into these wholly unsubstantiated and highly damaging allegations.See the full content of this document
