BROADBAND has revolutionised the internet and the way it can be used for business. But while websites have been expanding to suit faster broadband speeds, some areas are left behind.

This week, a survey revealed that a street in Canterbury, Kent, has the UK's slowest broadband, with speeds little better than those of a dial-up connection. It's not just this town that's suffering, however, and given the size of the rural North East, there are many homes and businesses that lack a satisfactory service.
