Silent Killer Discovered

Summary


Scores of people were alerted to the fact they could have high blood pressure, known as the "silent killer", at testing sessions in Gateshead.

Angela Stewart, of Gateshead Primary Care Trust, organised the checks for the Blood Pressure Association's Know Your Numbers Week. Of 543 people tested, 80 had a raised reading.
