SHEEP farmers are being warned to beware of nematodirus infestation in lambs, even though the reasonably early spring is likely to mean there will be a below average number of problems caused by the parasite.
The cold weather earlier in the year originally led the National Animal Disease Information Service (NADIS) to forecast that there would be an above average risk from the nematode because its egg hatch would be delayed and it would coincide with lambs eating large amounts of grass this month.See the full content of this document
