Cambridgeshire chief constable Tom Lloyd, who was strongly criticised over his force's handling of the investigation into the murder of Soham schoolgirls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, has resigned over claims of sexual misconduct.

Mr Lloyd said he is stepping down over media reports he had sexually harassed a woman official at a police conference.
