Scotch Whisky Exports Rise by 10 Per Cent

SCOTCH whisky added pounds 109 a second to the value of goods exported from the UK last year, say new figures.

International exports for the industry rose by 10% in 2010 in what was a record year. The spirit contributed pounds 3.45bn to the UK export market, up from pounds 3.13bn in 2009, the Scotch Whisky Association (SWA) said.
