CHILDREN in a Northumberland village are having to use a public bus service to get to and from their lessons - despite a dedicated school bus driving past their stop halfempty each morning.
Parents in Stannington are angry that about 20 village youngsters now have to use bus passes and travel on the commercial service operated by Northumbria Coaches to get to their schools in Morpeth. Since the new term started last week, they claim the 414 service has been late in picking up and bringing home the children.
