A CAMPAIGN by consumer watchdogs in Northumberland to help people avoid being conned out of cash has met with an excellent response.
More than 250 mailings were deposited in special Scamnesty boxes located across the county during February. The campaign was part of efforts to detect and deter fraudsters who write to, or sometimes email, people telling them they have won cash prizes or claiming that large sums of money will be paid into the recipients' account if they disclose their bank details.See the full content of this document
