THE locations of old-timer trees are to be plotted in a two-year project. The aim is to record 1,000 ancient, veteran and significant trees in the Durham Biodiversity Partnership area of South Tyneside, Sunderland, Gateshead, County Durham and Darlington.
The Heritage Lottery Fund has given pounds 44,000 to the project, which will see Durham Wildlife Trust employ a project officer on behalf of the partnership.See the full content of this document
