WHAT a day it turned out to be for Dave Rogers, who had set out to do a bit of light spinning at St Abbs for pollock, coalfish and mackerel.
After being snapped off twice by a big fish, Rogers upped his reel mainline, casting out into the same spot. He turned the reel handle a few times, then the fireworks began.
