Summary


The ups and downs of around 50 species of birds which breed on the Farne Islands are being plotted by scientist Dr Anne Wilson.

Dr Wilson, who retired as head of science at Newcastle Church High School, is delving into the archives of the Natural History Society of Northumbria and other sources, using diaries and reports to compile the histories of the breeding birds on the islands off Northumberland.
