VOLUNTEERS who help disabled youngsters in part of Northumberland to experience the joys of horse riding have been given a financial boost by the county council.

The Slaley Riding for the Disabled group works closely with the Priory School in Hexham to enhance the lives of physically and mentally handicapped children through riding, taking care of horses and outdoor exercises.
