The Post Office is re-launching its traditional saving stamp to help people on low incomes.

The group already sells saving stamps to help people spread the cost of paying for their TV licence or road tax, but ones which could be redeemed against utility bills had been withdrawn over the past few years. However, unlike the old stamps, which were different for the various utility companies, people will be able to use the new ones to buy any product or service the Post Office offers, ranging from paying utility bills, council tax or the TV licence to buying car insurance, flowers and in some outlets, food.
