Blaydon were made to work hard as their efforts to defend the Durham Senior Cup saw them get into the final at the expense of Darlington ( the holders running in nine tries in a 57-41 victory.

Darlington notched up six tries of their own in a great end-to- end game which had everything ( from penalty tries to Blaydon having to survive being down to 14 men three times due to sin-binnings.
