A GROUP of six students from Ashington Community High School has been working with Northumberland Wildlife Trust to conserve a rare whin grassland site at West Kyloe in Northumberland.

The students spent a day cutting and clearing gorse and scrub from the site. Their efforts have helped to establish a conservation grazing project on the site using sheep or goats.
