THE constant refrain from the coalition junior partners aimed at their own supporters to "enjoy being in power" rings a bit hollow.
It's difficult not to gasp at the audacity of Nick Clegg's claims that he has secured Liberal Democrat policies when he was likely to secure more influence by entering into a loose, vote-by-vote coalition with the Conservatives. Instead, he has jettisoned the policies he fought an election on by agreeing to cuts that will not only put the recovery at risk (his words), but also the fabric of our society.See the full content of this document
