THE Deputy Prime Minister came under fire yesterday for failing to listen to North-East taxpayers after once again stating his belief in elected regional government.
In a speech to the annual conference of the New Local Government Network yesterday, John Prescott said he was convinced that England would eventually make the move to elected regional Government - despite the resounding failure of plans to introduce a regional assembly.See the full content of this document
