A teacher who was raped by a 12-year-old boy at a North-East school has been awarded pounds 11,000 in compensation.

The woman - who was employed by a fostering agency to teach the child in one-to-one sessions because of his perceived danger to other children - received the payment from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority.
