Motor Racing: Newcastle Racecourse owners Northern Racing want to take over the driving seat of the home of the British Grand Prix. Northern Racing, which also owns Sedgefield Racecourse, has bid to take control of the Silverstone Racing Circuit. The Aim-listed company wants to lease the track, in a 25-year deal, from current operator the British Racing Driver's Club.
