I READ with interest that North Tyneside Council are to consider combining services with that of Northumberland in an effort to save some money (The Journal, March 9).
May I make a suggestion? The borough of North Tyneside was formed on April 1, 1974, by the merger of the county borough of Tynemouth, with the borough of Wallsend, part of the borough of Whitley Bay, the urban district of Longbenton and part of the urban district of Seaton Valley, all of which were in Northumberland.See the full content of this document
