GATESHEAD East and Washington West MP Sharon Hodgson has backed a new pounds 2.1bn bond scheme from Chancellor Gordon Brown and International Development Secretary Hilary Benn to boost vaccinations in the Third World.

The scheme will provide immunisations against diseases such as tuberculosis, diphtheria and tetanus.
