Summary
BARNEY Kay, pictured, has been appointed as the new North East regional director for the NFU.
Mr Kay replaces Richard Ellison who retired at the end of July after 39 years with the NFU, 21 of which were spent at the helm of the regional office in York. He joins the group from the National Pig Association (NPA), where he was general manager for the last five years during a period of tough trading conditions and unsustainably low farmgate prices in the sector. Mr Kay's experience also includes running a 1,000ha farm in Romania and two separate roles for the NFU in East Anglia and another at NFU headquarters.See the full content of this document
