Preston have completed the signing of Middlesbrough goalkeeper Carlo Nash on a three-and-a-half-year deal for a fee which could rise to pounds 175,000. QPR keeper Chris Day ended his month-long loan spell at Deepdale after Saturday's 2-0 victory against Watford. Lilywhites boss Billy Davies had been looking to wrap up a long- term deal for Day before today's transfer deadline. But Davies has instead swooped for Nash, who made just five appearances for Boro in his two years at the Riverside Stadium.
