Susie, working with top Northumberland-based photographer Simon Fraser, set out scotch the myth - prevalent outside the region - that the area is lacking in quality gardens.

Susie and Simon visited 28 stunning sites covering a wide spectrum of gardening styles, and present their findings in Gardens of Northumberland and the Borders, published by Cramlington's Sanderson Books at pounds 25.
