I WAS, to say the least, saddened recently when I visited the exhibition by Sainsbury's to promote their proposed new store on the outskirts of Morpeth.
To their credit the council has taken the bull by the horns and completely demolished the old Sanderson Arcade shopping mall which, from its outset, was never really a success. In its place they are building a magnificent, state-of-the-art shopping centre for which the good people of Morpeth and the surrounding district will be extremely proud.See the full content of this document
