A TODDLER made a miraculous escape after she was sucked into a drainpipe and swept 200 feet underground before being spat out into a flooded river.
It is possible that three-year-old Leona Baxter's life was was saved by the family pet dog which followed her into the narrow pipe and provided the momentum to push her out into the River Wear at Chester-le-Street.See the full content of this document
