Summary
IMUST admit Rialto wasn't actually our first choice for lunch this particular day. We were destined instead for The Blackbird in Ponteland, fancying a cosy pub lunch, only to find it all closed up, no notices on the door. Yet another victim of the recession? A quick body swerve, conscious that hubby and I had only a couple of hours before the children needed collecting from various venues, we found ourselves outside Rialto, on the main road through the village.
