Chemicals group ICI has finally called time on manufacturing in Teesside, where it once employed 30,000 people.

ICI will no longer have a factory on Teesside if it completes the proposed sale of its Netherlands arm Uniqema. The company makes oleochemicals ( substances derived from oils and fats ( which include ingredients for products such as suncream.
