KEEPING up appearances is one of the reasons why people in a North East town don't cycle or walk to work.
A survey of residents in Blyth, Northumberland, was carried out by Sustrans, the charity which enables people to make more everyday journeys on foot, bike and public transport. It was part of the Blyth Active Travel Town project - launched this week - on which Sustrans is working with Northumberland County Council to persuade more townspeople to leave the car and walk or cycle.See the full content of this document
