SOARING into view over the Tyne, the North East's new air ambulance was unveiled to the region yesterday. The introduction of the state-of-the-art aircraft means the Great North Air Ambulance will now be able to offer a "flying intensive care unit".
The new helicopter has been launched earlier than planned with demand for the charity's services expected to increase with the improving weather. Yesterday passing traffic and busy pedestrians stopped and slowed for a moment to sneak a peak as the Guardian of the North's rotors guided it over Newcastle.See the full content of this document
