SOARING into view over the Tyne, the North East's new air ambulance was unveiled to the region yesterday. The introduction of the state-of-the-art aircraft means the Great North Air Ambulance will now be able to offer a "flying intensive care unit".
The new helicopter has been launched earlier than planned with demand for the charity's services expected to increase with the improving weather.
