Summary

Now's the time to sow seed of spring cabbage for transplanting in September or October. Sow the seed thinly in shallow drills around 15cm (6in) apart. For the later planting, seedlings should be placed 30-40cm (12-16in) apart in rows 45cm (18in) apart.

You'll find that spring cabbage will mature quickly as weather conditions improve after winter and won't be as large or as coarse as the winter varieties.
