DERWENT Reservoir regular Geordie Samms from Chester-le-Street landed the first tiger trout of the month - and the pounds 400 sweepstake - while fishing a Beamish Killer at Millshields.

Alan and Andy Swailham had a great day on Saturday, landing 11 trout, including fish of 7lb, 6lb and 5lb, on a Connemara Black from the north shore next to the valve tower, while Ray Robertson caught the best blue trout of the season - a sixpounder - on Powerbait fished from Murray's Point.
