Last week was international Workers' Memorial Day in commemoration of the millions of workers killed as a result of their labour.
It is an international tragedy and a scandal. Every year there are 270 million 'recorded' accidents at work. Many more go unreported. As a result of the accidents, 350,000 people are killed each year and many develop chronic illnesses.
