Allotment holders who face being evicted from their plots to make way for grazing cattle have brought in their national association to help them fight the decision.

The Freemen of Newcastle, who have grazing rights on the city's Town Moor, have given seven allotment holders notice to leave their plots at the junction of Grandstand Road and Kenton Road in Gosforth.
