Summary

NEWCASTLE jobseekers can get additional help with finding work after three resource centres opened across the city. Newcastle City Council, Jobcentre Plus and Newcastle Futures have teamed up to offer the services in Eldon Gardens, Lynnwood Business Centre and the most recent, in the East End Customer Service Centre on Shields Road in Byker.

In the resource centres, newly unemployed clients can access employment support and in-depth skills assessment, which both aid a rapid return to work or career change for those individuals who want to take a new direction. The resource centres are also supported by Newcastle College and Newcastle University to help individuals consider higher level skills training.
