FIVE hundred jobs are to be axed with the closure of a contact lens plant in Scotland as manufacturer Bausch & Lamb moves work abroad.
The company said it planned to shut its facility at Livingston, West Lothian, and shift production to Ireland and the United States. This would mean the loss of 500 jobs in Scotland over the next two years although 30 would be created in New York.See the full content of this document
