A FERRY worker accused of being part of a group who smuggled pounds 1.8m of cocaine into the region in rucksacks told police he never looked inside the bag.

Karol Tomaszewski and Sebastian Piasecki are alleged to have been among three men who attempted to bring rucksacks full of the Class A drug through the Port of Tyne.
