BRITISH soldiers who used outlawed interrogation techniques on Iraqi prisoners were "implementing official policy", a public inquiry heard.

One detainee, hotel receptionist Baha Mousa, 26, died after being subjected to beatings over 36 hours that left him with 93 separate injuries, lawyers said.
