THE council at the centre of the Dreamspace disaster had already been warned about health and safety failings, an inquest has heard.

During the second day of the hearing into the deaths of Elizabeth Cummings, 69, from Seaham and mother-of-two Claire Furmedge, 38, from Chester-le-Street, the jury was told the authority had undergone a shake-up of its health and safety department in the months leading up to the tragedy in July 2006.
